A wide, shallow platter in English oak, turned from a single section with striking medullary ray figure. The rays catch the light differently depending on angle, giving the surface a subtle shimmer.
The rim is kept deliberately thin - just 3mm at the edge - to give the piece a lightness that belies the density of the timber. Finished with multiple coats of food-safe oil.
